Meet the Team
Ciaran
Ciaran founded CB event group in 2017 as a DJ and events company working with hotels and bars as a DJ whilst working in security as well.
Ciaran was looking at offering different packages to his clients including security services and teamed up with Damian to provide these services.
Since launching the security side of the business in 2020 we have expanded massively including providing security services for the NHS, Sporting events and late-night establishments.
Ciaran is a trained first responder and trainer and teaches various subjects including Security related courses, First aid, Conflict management, Physical intervention and handcuffing.In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym and taking his dog Milo for long walks.
Damian
Damian has over 20 years of experience in the security industry where he’s worked at some of the biggest venues and events in the country working from the bottom to senior management, he then started the security side of CB event group with Ciaran in 2020 and the company has gone from strength to strength.
Damian is also a certified enforcement officer and frec 3 first responder. Damian also manages a local nightclub where he enjoys working alongside his daughter and family.
Jay
Jay Crucial has been playing Commercial venues across the South East for over 15 years with a vast experience of many demographics and venue types. Jay has a very big passion for Music and enjoys House and the Old Skool Rave scene. In May 2020 Jay entered a competition for Slip Back In Time (a brand run by the very famous DJ Slipmatt aka SL2) called the MixFactor, he successfully won the competition and played in Es Paradis in Ibiza.
Jay currently has 2 residencies and 2 radio shows and is always busy either playing a venue or a major event or festival. Jay also consults for CB Event Group on a technical basis and works in association with the group. Jay also has a great sense of humour so when he is not playing at a venue he will always build rapport with the team, whether that is bar staff, door staff etc.
Michael
Michael has been working in security since 2006 and has worked in various settings including shopping centres, large events, pubs and clubs and even worked as a mobile response officer.
Michael has been with us at CB events since we started the security side of the company in 2020 and is an expert in both conflict management and physical intervention.
Michael Won 1st place in the taekwondo English championships in 2022 and is still competing.
Michael has started djing in his spare time in bars and private events and is now doing this professionally.

Paul
Paul has been working in the security industry for over 20 years and has been working with us since we have started.
Paul has worked on many of our sites including working with the NHS, National rail, events and in the night time economy.
Before working with us Paul worked as a baggage handler in Gatwick airport.
In his spare time he spends time with his family and goes to the gym and plays golf.
Suzi
Suzi has been working in security since 2018. She has worked in various clubs, bars & pubs. Since joining CB events, in 2021, Suzi has worked at much larger events. My spare time is mainly spent with my family. I also enjoy walking & reading.
Pawel
Pawel has worked within the security Industry for the last 11 years and joined CB in 2020 since that he was worked on multiple events, bars and nightclubs.
Outside work, he likes to spend time with his family and he loves to workout at the gym.
Dan
Dan has been working in the security industry for 20 years where he has worked in leisure parks and in shopping centres as a security supervisor. He has also worked at various pubs and clubs. Dan joined CB in 2020 as a head door supervisor. Since joining the company has worked at various places from pubs to clubs, events and even at East Surrey hospital.
Charlie
Charlie has been in the security industry for 5 years and has worked in many different venues including pubs, bars, clubs and stadiums. He has been working with CB Events for the last few years doing security for their events, bars and clubs.
In his spare time, Charlie trains in boxing, MMA and jeet-Kune-do and has even started to help train the younger students.
Roni
Roni has been working for CB Event Group originally doing security and was the supervisor at one of their NHS contracts looking after a team of 18 guards. She has since moved on to being our event manager hiring out equipment and DJs for weddings and discos.
Roni is also a professional dancer and uses her creativity within the events to come up with lots of new ideas. In her spare time, Roni loves to go to the gym and spend time with her family and German Shepherds Cobra and Kai.
Dave
Dave has been djing since 2015 and goes by his DJ name Ibiza slater. A fool for music and heavily influenced by the island of Ibiza which he frequently visits. His Biggest highlight was warning up for Scott mils formerly radio one now radio 2. Dave also Runs successful events including garage nights and house nights.
Jon
Jon had worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years before making the move into security full time.
Since joining CB in 2021, Jon has worked on Response at a multitude of major events such as the Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Women’s European Cup Final and music festivals including Glastonbury, Wireless and the IOW.
A lover of the outdoors, his spare time will often involve a walk across the downs with dog Ziggy.
